It’s hard to find time to plan what’s for dinner, that’s why I put together this easy meal plan WITH a grocery list! Use the customize feature on the shopping list to add/delete/mark things off your list as you shop!
options
I know many of you are following macro based nutrition plans so I have included low and mod carb options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some meals may appear to be moderate to high carb meals, but each recipe will offer simple swaps to modify the macros. This will help so you can make one meal…and save your sanity!
90% of the time, I eat the same thing as my family. I want you to be able to hit your goals with a few tweaks to what they eat so you can sit down to dinner with your people and not spend all night I the kitchen!
what is this meal plan method?
I have found that planning meals for certain days of the week doesn’t usually work out because we end up with more leftovers than anticipated (or maybe none at all!) or we have a change in plans. Cooking two meals and having something ready to “Heat & Eat” whether it’s frozen food, a crockpot meal, or grab it on the way home seems to cover all of our week days dinners.
can you swap things out?
Absolutely! This is really just ideas to get you thinking of things you can feed your family next week.
You’ll notice fruit stays the same throughout the week. This is to keep your list simple and to avoid anything going bad. Feel free to swap it out or add additional fruit. Usually, our kids eat fruit at dinner. I save my macros for a sweet treat!
do you have to do a big prep on sundays?
Nope! I don’t mind eating the same thing each day of the week and our nights are so busy that I save leftovers for another dinner. But if you have time to cook dinners and want to relax on the weekend, eat those leftovers for lunch!
tips
- If you are tracking macros, try logging your food the night before. This way you can make tweaks if necessary, BEFORE you eat!
