Our first meal plan of 2022! Take these meal ideas and make them your own!

I have found that planning meals for certain days of the week doesn’t usually work out because we end up with more leftovers than anticipated (or maybe none at all!) or we have a change in plans. Cooking two meals and having something ready to “Heat & Eat” whether it’s frozen food, a crockpot meal, or grab it on the way home seems to cover all of our week days dinners.

I prefer to skip breakfast and have a larger lunch, but that doesn’t mean you have to do that! Feel free to add your favorite breakfast, you may just want to scale back lunch or another snack.

You may not enjoy eating the same thing each day, having leftovers from dinner a couple of days a week is a good way to get a bit more variety. For me, I’d rather cook one thing on Sunday and be done for the week so you’ll usually only see one lunch option on these plans.

Tips

  • Chili is easy to freeze. Adjust the servings before creating your shopping list to make sure you have enough leftover.
