Changing things up a bit this week! I know many of you are following macro based nutrition plans so I have included low and mod carb options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some meals may appear to be moderate to high carb meals, this is to save your sanity! 90% of the time, I eat the same thing as my family. I want you to be able to hit your goals with a few tweaks to what they eat so you can sit down to dinner with your people and not spend all night I the kitchen!

I have found that planning meals for certain days of the week doesn’t usually work out because we end up with more leftovers than anticipated (or maybe none at all!) or we have a change in plans. Cooking two meals and having something ready to “Heat & Eat” whether it’s frozen food, a crockpot meal, or grab it on the way home seems to cover all of our week days dinners.

You’ll notice fruit stays the same throughout the week. This is to keep your list simple and to avoid anything going bad. Feel free to swap it out or add additional fruit. Usually, our kids eat fruit at dinner. I save my macros for a sweet treat!

You may not enjoy eating the same thing each day for lunch, having leftovers from dinner a couple of days a week is a good way to get a bit more variety. For me, I’d rather cook one thing on Sunday and be done for the week so you’ll usually only see one lunch option on these plans.

tips

  • Shepherd’s Pie can be pre-made over the weekend. If you plan to eat it later in the week, just pop it in the freezer! Pro Tip: Adjust the servings of the recipe and double up. Keep the extra in the freezer for a week that you are just too busy to prep!
