Pizza is one of, if not my FAVORITE food!  It isn’t the best choice for “healthy” food though so I make a lot of recipes that incorporate pizza ingredients.  This Pizza Chicken recipe is easy, tasty, and will help you hit those protein goals!

  • Chicken Breast
  • Pizza Sauce – Low Sugar is best to keep your carbs low
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Natural Pepperoni – cut in half or quarters
  • Garlic Powder

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 1 Breast
Ingredients
  • 1 Breast Chicken Breast
  • 1/4 Cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Natural Pepperoni (Optional)
  • Italian Seasoning (to taste)
  • Garlic Powder (to taste)
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
  • Season Chicken Breast with Italian Seasoning and Garlic Powder, place in greased baking dish, top with pizza sauce just before placing in oven.
  • Set timer for 20-25 minutes.
  • Flip chicken halfway through. Chicken is done when juices run clear (or 160*)
  • Add additional seasoning and sauce
    Cooked Chicken topped with sauce
  • Top with cheese and pepperoni
  • Return chicken to oven for about 5 minutes until cooked through and cheese is melted.

Notes
Total Bake time will be 20 – 30 minutes depending on size of breast.
Serve with unlimited green vegetables or salad.
Moderate Carb Days – Go easy on the cheese and pepperoni, this will help keep your fats from being too high!
