Hey there, thanks for stopping by!
I'm Christine, I'm a working mom with a commute and two busy kids, so we need things that are fast! Meals we can cook in a hurry aren't always the healthiest but I try to sneak in nutrition where I can. A lot of the meals you find here at Fit But Fun won't be new, but I hope you find this site to be a great place to help simplify your meal planning!

Life Lately!
April is done and dusted, and life is flying by at warp speed. 😬

1. It was the peak of comp season, the girls grew a ton learning new styles of dance this year, brought home some hardware, and made so many memories.
2. It’s also high school baseball season. This team is so fun to watch! (Why are our kids activities in the exact same season? 😵‍💫)
3. Visited the tulip festival with my bestie. 🌷
4. I have been talking a lot about freelance work lately, but that’s because I like helping moms find flex work. My job is still working with builders and interior designers!
5. Celebrated Easter. 🙏🏽✝️
6. 23 minute workouts are saving my life these days.
7. Meal prepping when I can!
8. Prom: the final school dance for G.
9. Going through hundreds of pics and memories as we get ready for graduation in just a few weeks.

So much going on, there’s a lot of emotion and excitement in store for May. Looking forward to it but also trying to enjoy every moment! 💜

PTO is a great perk! The bad thing is you can burn

PTO is a great perk! The bad thing is you can burn through it really quickly. Plus you have to pick and choose when you want to use it.

Over the years I’ve had some jobs that were super flexible for personal things that I needed to take care of. But I’ve also had jobs that required time off requests for long dentist appointments. 😒 No matter the circumstances, I felt guilty submitting a request.

Working as a freelancer, you can schedule your work around your family instead of scheduling your family around your work! Here are a couple of examples:

Every week my daughter has dance at 5 pm and sometimes I forget that if I worked a traditional job she wouldn’t be able to participate in a class she really enjoys because I couldn’t get her there without taking time off.

Last week we had these special events and while I didn’t bill out as many hours as I’d normally would, being there for alllll the things, big and small, was pretty cool.

Hopefully you have an employer that doesn’t mind you putting your family first!

But if you don’t, freelance work offers a flex schedule and unlimited PTO! Look into working as a consultant using education and experience you already have to help a small business.

I know there are moms out there that feel torn between work and family just like I was. If that’s you, but just don’t know where to start, it’s time to figure out how you’ll pivot!

You may see a lot of people in your feed talking about how you can make money selling a course with master resale rights…

But I don’t think everyone understands what it entails!

If you purchase a course on how to create a course, you’re either going to have to create your own course about something you know a lot about, or sell the course about how to create a course. If you're passionate about either, I'm cheering for you 🥳 BUT I want to make sure that you realize it may not be overnight 💵💵💵.

You'll still need:

▫️An audience that is willing to buy the course you create
OR
▫️An audience willing to buy the course you bought about how to create a course

If your don’t have an audience to sell to, you’ll have to build it (which takes time and lots of content) or you will need to pay for ads to get your course in front of new students.

Yes, both can be profitable!

But I feel like some of the people marketing these courses make it sound so easy and put up screenshots of several thousand dollars in sales each day.

Before investing in one of these courses I want to encourage you to ask these questions to the person you are considering as your mentor:

❓How big is their following? Do they have an email list?
❓How many pieces of content are they creating each day?
❓Are they running ads?
❓Where are they getting their leads and how many times are they following up on average before making a sale?
❓Will they coach you as you create your course?

Not everyone wants to post on social media every day and not everyone wants to do sales. I just want you to realize what you need to do to if you choose this path!

If you decide this is NOT the route you want to go, but you have some business skills…there are tons of places for you to make 💰online!
