Ingredients
1PoundLean Ground Beefor turkey
2CupsWhole Wheat or Gluten Free Pastashells, elbows
1/2MediumOnionchopped or diced
2-3ClovesGarlicminced
Hamburger SeasoningsSalt & Pepper, Worcestershire or any other seasonings you put on burgers, to taste.
28oz canDiced Tomatoesor 2 Large Tomatoes, diced
2-3TBSPLow Sugar Ketchup
2-3TBSPDijon Mustard
2CupsShredded Cheese
3-4PicklesDiced
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook pasta as directed on the package.
Brown lean beef or turkey with onion
Drain meat and return to skillet.
Add garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire if desired.
Add tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard.
Mix in drained pasta and spread half of mixture into a greased casserole dish.
Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheese.
Add the remaining meat mixture and top with remaining shredded cheese. (I normally go light on the cheese on a section of the casserole for myself.)
