Have you seen Jello Grapes all over Instagram and Pinterest?
At first I thought they can’t be THAT great, but they kept popping up over and over so I had to give them a try! WOW! I’m so glad we did because they are amazingly simple and even more impressive is the taste!
My six year old was super excited to give these a try. She giggled the entire time we were rolling them and it probably took us 10-15 minutes to roll two pounds of green seedless grapes.
If you don’t have a happy helper or the patience to roll them you can put your jello into a ziplock and shake instead. It really wasn’t that bad and I preferred the toothpick over getting my hands sticky and and stained!
Jello Grapes
Ingredients
- 1-2 Pounds Seedless Grapes (Green or Purple)
- 2 boxes Jello (Mix and Match Colors & Flavors)
Instructions
- Wash and destem grapes
- Pour jello into small condiment bowl. The smaller the better so the grapes can be easily covered. You'll want one bowl per color.
- Begin poking grapes individually with a toothpick.
- Dip into a small water bowl. This will help the jello stick.
- Gently roll each grape into the powder. If you want full coverage, remove your toothpick. rollover, poke again to remove from the jello.
- Place covered grapes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Continue until all grapes are coated.
- Move to refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until jello is hardened and crispy.
- Enjoy!
Equipment For This Recipe
Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to give these a whirl! I think we will let the kids do this while we are at the lake. Clean up is super easy if they get messy. I forgot about my Cornbread Trifle recipe, I can’t wait to make it while we are there too!
Store the Jello Grapes refrigerated, I noticed the sugar started to melt after about 10 minutes when I pulled them from the fridge.
Mix and match flavors and colors. We had Strawberry Banana for red, I think that is my favorite so far! There are Starburst and Sonic Drink flavors you may like to try, they are on our list!
Tag me on Instagram if you make these, Tinsley and I love to see what you make! 💜
