Pizza Pasta Ingredients

I’ll say that my family hasn’t noticed the extra veggies, or if they have, they don’t mind them! I know some kids are pickier than others so feel free to omit carrots or onions if you know they will be a no go! Have beef on hand but no sausage? Use the beef! Watching macros and want to aim for lower fat content? Go ahead and replace one, or both of the meats with ground turkey instead!

freezer meal or eat it tonight!

Pizza Pasta

This recipe is written to be thrown in a freezer bag for a bulk meal prep but it’s not necessary. If you’re ready to eat it tonight, it works as a one pot meal! Add all ingredients except the cheese, pasta, and water into a skillet and cook over medium heat until meat is browned. Add the pasta and water, cook over high heat for 15 minutes until pasta is done. Top with cheese and eat!

Equipment For This Recipe

Notes
This meal is hearty and enough for our family of 4 to eat two nights when served with a vegetable.
If prepping for 1-2 people, this is a lot of food! Use .5 Servings at the top of the recipe to cut the recipe in half. OR split among two ziplocks for two separate meals.

I wasn’t sure about putting the meat in without browning it first but with the lean cuts there was no problem with extra grease!

Freezer Ready Pasta

You’ll want to get as much air out of the freezer back as possible. I like to fold the top 1/4 of the bag over as I set it in the freezer so that if I forget to pull it out to thaw the night before, it will still fit into my crockpot. Make sure you lay the bag flat to freeze. After it’s solid you can prop it up on its side, this will keep it slim for easy stacking!
