I like to have a sweet treat after dinner most nights but if you are like me, a lot of times I am short on protein so I have to get creative!
This Chocolate Protein Mousse is the perfect way to round out your protein (over 20g!) and satisfy your sweet tooth!
Ingredients for Protein Mousse
- Cottage Cheese
- Protein Powder
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- Zero Calorie Natural Sweetener

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Cottage Cheese
- 2 Tbsp Protein Powder ( or 1/2 Scoop)
- 1 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- Zero Calorie Sweetener to taste (Stevia (Swerve, Erythritol))
Instructions
- Use a hand blender or food processor to blend cottage cheese until smooth. (Usually for 2-3 minutes)
- Add in Cocoa Powder, Protein, and Sweetener.
- Mix/Blend until evenly combined.
Notes
You can multiply this recipe if you leave the sweetener out. Store in an airtight container, just add sweetener before serving. This helps so you don’t have to clean your food processor multiple times!

Tips
- Don’t add your powders to the cottage cheese before you blend, it will be too thick!
- Blend an entire container of cottage cheese if you plan to eat several servings through out the week. Then you only need to mix in the powder ingredients and clean your blender once!
- If you want to thin out the mixture, add 1-2 Tablespoons of water, almond milk, or milk.
Macros
Your macros will vary depending on what protein powder you use and what % of fat you choose for cottage cheese.
I usually buy full-fat and look for one with a shorter ingredient list. Be careful with low-fat versions, sometimes these are higher in carbs.
